Terms of use

What this product is

Walkthrough is a browser checklist that helps you record the apparent condition of a rental unit and print a report. It is provided by Walkthrough.

It is not legal advice, not a lease, not a court form, not a statutory security-deposit itemization, and not a warranty of the dwelling. Landlord-tenant rules differ by state and city. If a deposit or eviction is in dispute, talk to a licensed attorney in that state.

Your responsibilities

• Enter accurate observations. Do not invent damage or hide conditions you saw.
• Photograph Fair and Poor items. A rating without a picture is easy to argue with.
• Follow your state’s notice, timing, and itemization rules for deposits. This form does not satisfy those statutes by existing.
• Get consent before photographing people. Do not use the app to harass tenants.
• Keep backups yourself (print / PDF). We do not store your inspections.

License and Pro

You may use the free, watermarked reports for your own properties. Walkthrough Pro is a $19 one-time Stripe payment that, on this static demo, is unlocked in the browser via a local flag after the thanks page (or ?pro=1). That flag is not a transferable license file and is not legal proof of purchase — your Stripe receipt is. There is no monthly plan offered here. Refunds, if any, follow Stripe’s ordinary payment practices.

No professional relationship

Using Walkthrough does not create an attorney-client, broker, or property-management relationship.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is.” Checklists can omit a defect. Browsers can lose unsaved photos. Print a copy before you close the tab. We disclaim implied warranties to the extent your law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Walkthrough is not liable for lost deposits, unsuccessful claims, lost photos, or consequential damages arising from use of this checklist. Your sole remedy for Pro is a refund request through the payment channel you used, subject to the processor’s rules.

Acceptable use

Do not reverse-engineer payment links, scrape other people’s reports, or use Walkthrough as a prop in a fraud. Do not upload malware via file inputs; files are read locally only.
